Course Frameworks for Mathematics Pathways

Frameworks for high-quality high school courses, that follow mathematics pathways aligned to postsecondary education, benefit our students.

These course frameworks are designed to help systems build math pathways from high school through postsecondary education and into the workplace.

Data Science Course Framework

These two frameworks provide design principles and student learning outcomes to guide developers in creating a data science course for high school students.

The Data Science Course Framework (2024) was developed over the 2023–2024 school year by a group of forty researchers, curriculum developers, and K–12 and postsecondary educators.

The Data Science Course Framework (2021) was developed as a part of the Launch Years Initiative.

Integrated Statistics and Quantitative Reasoning Course Framework

This framework combines skills and learning outcomes traditionally separated into two distinct courses into one. The Integrated Statistics and Quantitative Reasoning (ISQR) Course Framework (2024) provides design principles and students learning outcomes.

Mathematics Transition Course Framework

This framework provides design principles and student learning outcomes, including outcomes related to social, emotional, and academic development, to guide developers who are creating a 12th-grade transition course for students who have not yet met a college-readiness measure in mathematics.
