Uri Treisman Speaks to White House Commission About Accelerating College Success Among African Americans

Uri Treisman, Executive Director of The Charles A. Dana Center at The University of Texas at Austin, was invited to speak to the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans. Commission members include nationally renowned college presidents, executives, judges, professors, superintendents, and other thought leaders from across the country. At a private dinner and at a public meeting, Dr. Treisman was featured in a discussion highlighting opportunities for accelerating African American postsecondary success. Dr. Treisman spoke about lessons learned from the Dana Center's work in community colleges, developmental education reform, and structured math pathways, as well as his work in developing African American scholars.
