Collaborating with Fort Wayne Community Schools

Since 2018, the we have been working with Fort Wayne Community Schools in Indiana to build capacity as they develop new mathematics curriculum.

The goal of this collaboration is to build the capacity of teachers and administrators to ensure that all K-12 students are prepared for college-level mathematics.

Collaborating with the Louisiana Department of Education
 

Since 2017, the Charles A. Dana Center has been working with the Louisiana Department of Education to equip Louisiana mentor teachers and mathematics content leaders with the knowledge and materials they need to effectively support new and current teachers.

The goal of this collaboration is to develop leaders within the system to ensure that Louisiana educators receive ongoing deep professional learning connected to the grade level, content area, and primary curriculum they teach.

Collaborating with DoDEA

Since 2015, the Charles A. Dana Center has worked with the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) to advance mathematics education for children of U.S. military families around the globe.

The goal of this collaboration is to build the capacity of teachers, school-level leaders, and above-school-level leaders to ensure that all students, prekindergarten through grade 12, meet or exceed the expectations of DoDEA’s College and Career Ready Standards for Mathematics (CCRSM).

Professional Development for Teachers and Leaders

Teacher practice is refined through ongoing structured collaboration among teachers within the school system.

We offer professional learning sessions to deepen teacher knowledge of pedagogy and content and to guide district leaders to effectively support their teachers. 

Research shows that good teaching can be learned, so our professional development protocols help you create district structures that facilitate and sustain ongoing learning.
