Collaborating with DoDEA

Since 2015, the Charles A. Dana Center has worked with the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) to advance mathematics education for children of U.S. military families around the globe.

The goal of this collaboration is to build the capacity of teachers, school-level leaders, and above-school-level leaders to ensure that all students, prekindergarten through grade 12, meet or exceed the expectations of DoDEA’s College and Career Ready Standards for Mathematics (CCRSM).

The Dana Center/Agile Mind programs, authored by the Dana Center and delivered via the web in collaboration with educational technology company Agile Mind, Inc., are designed for a blended model of instruction.

Each program encompasses teacher professional development and support, classroom instruction, practice and homework, formative assessment, embedded test prep, and real-time reporting on student effort and performance.

Course Materials for Daily Instruction

The Dana Center collaborates with practitioners and other experts from around the nation to develop consistent, coherent tools for instruction in mathematics and science.

Professional Learning for Math Educators

When our students receive a strong K-12 education in mathematics, we set them up for future success in postsecondary education and the modern workforce.

The Dana Center offers a variety of professional learning opportunities for math educators to help them serve their students. From professional learning sessions using the latest educational research and standards to innovative learning moments on Facebook, we offer teachers the support, tools, and inspiration they need to be more effective classroom educators.
