Dana Center Launches New "Transitioning Mathematics Courses to Virtual Teaching" Webinars

March 23, 2020|By Dana Center Communications

Across the country, many mathematics faculty members are working hard to move their spring courses to a virtual format to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Even as institutions shift to videoconferencing and distance learning platforms, many instructors have questions about the most effective approaches for these new teaching circumstances.

Join the Dana Center Mathematics Pathways' Joan Zoellner in a free “open forum” webinar series to discuss your questions and share strategies for success in transitioning your higher ed mathematics courses to virtual teaching.

Topics may include:

  • Student engagement strategies
  • Assessment alternatives
  • Equity questions in students’ digital access
  • Providing co-requisite supports in online platforms
  • And more…

The format of these webinars will largely follow an open discussion approach, so come ready with your questions and ideas. Join us for any of the following free sessions.
