Dana Center Role
Steve works with the Dana Center’s program teams to develop, write, and coordinate grant proposal submissions, including maintaining program staff résumés and bios for inclusion with proposals. He coordinates the entire funder report process, from managing a calendar of grant reporting requirements to working with Center staff on writing and producing professional and timely reports that comply with funder requirements.
Steve actively searches for funding sources through research and working with Dana Center program teams to identify potential leads, including federal, foundation, and corporate grants. He maintains a prospect list for each team at the Center (K–12, higher education, research and evaluation).
Before Joining the Dana Center
Prior to assuming his current position, Steve was a member of the Dana Center’s Publications team. He was lead editor for the fourth-year capstone course, Advanced Mathematical Decision Making.
Steve’s prior experience includes serving as a quality control director for a textbook production company, an editor for two mass-market business books and a racecar technology book, and an editor of engineering reports and specifications.
