Dana Center Role
Despina performs accounting work for the Center’s Operations team. She also provides accounting support for Literacy First (formerly, A Community for Education (ACE), which is dedicated to providing low-income schools with highly trained tutors to ensure that children advance to grade level in reading before third grade.
Before Joining the Dana Center
Despina was an accountant at the Office of Student Financial Services at The University of Texas at Austin. Holding that position for six years, she was responsible for providing accounting support for federal and state financial aid programs.
Before that, Despina was an accounting tech for the same department, where she was responsible for preparation of financial transaction documents. Despina held that position for four years.
Before working at UT Austin, Despina was in the private sector in an accounting position.
