Dana Center Role

Sydney manages the development team at the Center and oversees the implementation of the fundraising strategic plan. In her role, she works closely with Center leadership to foster strong donor relationships and align fundraising efforts with the Center’s mission and values.

Sydney collaborates with development colleagues across the university to identify and pursue strategic funding opportunities that advance the Center’s initiatives. She also engages with advisory boards to elevate awareness of the Center’s work, enhance fundraising outcomes, and support major projects that drive impact.

With a focus on building meaningful partnerships and securing resources, Sydney is dedicated to ensuring the Center continues to thrive and expand its reach in transforming education and supporting communities nationwide.

Before Joining the Dana Center

Sydney brings 15 years of experience with nonprofit organizations, spanning from state government to public and private universities. Prior to joining the Center, Sydney worked for the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, most recently as the assistant director of foundation relations and stewardship. Prior to Duke University, she worked for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the North Carolina Arts Council, and various contemporary art museums and galleries.
