Large numbers of students now taking Algebra I are one or more grade levels behind in mathematics. Intensified Algebra is a research-based program designed to help these students catch up and succeed in their first algebra course, and beyond.
Intensification is a systemic effort to address the contextual needs of students in learning on-level content. Our approach to intensification, Intensified Algebra, is designed to support 80 minutes of daily classroom instruction. It presents a unique, coherent program that incorporates into algebra instruction ideas from social psychology and other areas that historically reside outside the domain of typical algebra classes but are fundamentally important to students’ success.
Intensified Algebra is available by subscription. If you are interested in participating, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
