Dana Center's Annual Mathematics and Science Higher Education Conference (October Conference)
October 8-10, 2009
Conference sessions focus on the needs of faculty who are interested in the preparation and support of preservice or inservice teachers and of faculty who teach mathematics or science courses, especially for incoming college students. This year we are adding several sessions that address developmental education issues, such as courses for students who are not "college ready."
The TQGP 2009 Technical Assistance Meeting will take place during the day of October 8, before the beginning of the full conference. The meeting will continue the TQGP's focus on strengthening professional development in ways most likely to improve student achievement. This year’s fall meeting will cover several topics, including strategies for program evaluation and assessment. The meeting will include sessions with leaders who assisted at the spring meeting, including Pete Smith and Tracy Bibelnieks.
