Blisin Hestiyas

Blisin Hestiyas has been teaching math at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) since 2007. In 2025, she received the Distinguished Faculty of the Year award for her dedication to helping students succeed and for her excellent teaching. She loves making math easy to understand and meaningful, and she believes that good teaching comes from both passion and skill. Her classroom is a welcoming place where all students feel supported and encouraged to think critically. For her, teaching is more than just a job. It is a way to share her passion for learning and to support every student in reaching their goals.
