Mathematics Instructional Materials Analysis: Supporting TEKS Implementation

This seminar is designed for educators involved in the selection of mathematics instructional materials for their campus or district. The selection of appropriate materials is critical to the implementation of high-quality mathematics instruction and to student achievement. To make informed decisions about instructional materials, teachers must be knowledgeable about the TEKS and engage in continuous professional development activitites—instructional materials analysis offers the opportunity to do both.
Participants engage in an efficient, accurate, and thorough TEKS-based review process that can be replicated in their districts.
