TEKS for Leaders

Practical Applications on the Texas Instruments TI-83+ and 84+ Graphing Calculators

1-day session, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; fee $185

This seminar is designed for instructional specialists and classroom teachers, 6th through 12th grade, who already know how to use a TI graphing calculator to perform calculations; create graphs, lists, or tables; and collect data using the CBR (Calculator-Based Ranger). Participants explore and learn ways to increase student engagement by using selected TI Applications. Educators can use the Applications menu to help students explore the applications of Probability Simulation, Graphing Transformations, Area Formulas, Inequality Graphing, and more, without the use of any additional technology equipment--no CBRs or CBLs (Calculator-Based Laboratories) required. The session will support educators in implementing the new technology required by the revised TEKS.
