Kathi Cook

Project Director

Kathi Cook leads the Dana Center's online services team, which designs instructional materials, assessments, and professional development to improve student access to—and success in—challenging coursework so that every student leaves high school ready for college or career.

A special focus of her team's work is the Dana Center's collaboration with Agile Mind, Inc., to develop comprehensive online instruction, assessment, and professional development materials that support a cohesive, vertically articulated mathematics program from middle school through Advanced Placement Calculus and Statistics.

Ms. Cook has nearly 30 years of experience in mathematics education, including 19 years of mathematics teaching experience at the university, high school, and middle school levels. She has taught courses ranging from Algebra and Geometry to Precalculus, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics.

While teaching in Wichita Falls, Texas, she was recognized five times with a West Award for Teaching Excellence, and she was a 5-time nominee for a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Cook holds a B.S. in Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.
