Joe Gallegos is a program coordinator on the Professional Development Team, where he works with colleagues to develop and facilitate TEKS-based professional development for educators in Texas.
Prior to joining the Dana Center, Joe served as superintendent of schools in the El Paso region, as deputy superintendent for instruction at a suburban school district in west Texas, and as assistant superintendent for the Portales Public Schools in New Mexico. Joe has 17 years of public education experience in rural, suburban, and urban school districts in Texas and New Mexico.
