Jeanne Stamp is a senior program coordinator for the Texas Homeless Education Office. Among other responsibilities, Ms. Stamp conducts training for educators, school administrators, and parents about the laws and rules regarding the education of highly mobile and homeless children, resolves school enrollment and attendance complaints regarding students experiencing homelessness, addresses legislative issues that impact children and youth in homeless situations, and provides assistance to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act discretionary grant recipients in Texas.
Ms. Stamp has worked for a number of nonprofit agencies in Texas, serving children and families with a variety of needs and issues, using a variety of interventions and approaches. Ms. Stamp has been a line worker with child welfare, foster care, and adoption agencies; a child and adult therapist; and a clinical supervisor and program manager for a number of programs including child welfare, foster care, and adoption, addiction recovery, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She has managed a number of grants and contracts and provided management supervision for up to 150 employees. She has provided management consultation regarding employee development, grievance, and conflict resolution, and use of mediation skills and training in the work setting. Ms. Stamp has also provided staff training on a wide range of professional development topics, as well as community education seminars and workshops addressing issues of children and families.
Ms. Stamp's professional interests have involved her in the National Association of Social Workers. She is a steering committee member for the Austin branch of the organization as well as a member of the Advocacy and Policy Committee. She is also appointed to the Austin–Travis County Children's Protective Services Board. Ms. Stamp is an active member of Texas Marriage and Family Therapists. She holds the advanced clinical licensure in social work, the marriage and family therapy license, and the chemical dependency counseling license, and is a board-approved supervisor of clinical social work. Ms. Stamp holds bachelor of arts and master's degrees in social work from the University of Iowa.
