Gabriela Garcia

ACE Bilingual Program Coordinator

Gabriela Garcia serves as a bilingual program coordinator for the A Community for Education (ACE), a literacy intervention program operating in six Austin elementary schools.

Gabi is responsible for training, supporting, and supervising the bilingual ACE tutors. She provides initial and ongoing training specifically targeted to tutors working with monolingual Spanish-speaking students. In addition, Gabi coordinates the ACE recruitment each year and assists with all aspects of program management and implementation in project schools. She has a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S.W. in social work and is an alumna of the ACE program.
