Cara Hopkins

A member of the publications team since June 2010, Cara Hopkins works with other team members and Dana Center staff to produce, edit, and review various Center publications.

In addition to earning an English Literature degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder, Hopkins also completed extensive coursework in social change and community organizing. She taught a one-credit course on service learning as well as a semester-long class for at-risk high school students, and served as a facilitator for community service trips throughout the southwestern United States and Mexico.

Hopkins has more than seven years of experience in publishing. She began her journalism career as a regular contributor to the Colorado Daily newspaper in Boulder before serving as web editor for Natural Foods Merchandiser magazine and editor-in-chief of Dining Out magazine.
