Texas Homeless Education Office's Vicky Dill interviewed about signs of homelessness in students

Posted on July 19, 2011

According to Vicky Dill, senior program coordinator for the Texas Homeless Education Office, educators often misread indicators of homelessness in students, misinterpreting them as laziness or lack of interest in school.

Dr. Dill was recently interviewed on this topic for the ATPE News, the journal of the Association of Texas Public Educators. In "Homeless students: Signs you might misinterpret," which appears in the Summer 2011 issue of the journal, Dr. Dill discusses situations and behaviors that may indicate a child is experiencing homelessness.
