Dana Center's work in Rhode Island attracting notice

The Dana Center continues to expand its work beyond Texas, and its national reputation is growing. In Rhode Island, the Dana Centerís work is making (radio) waves and headlines.

In February 2009, WRNI, Providence's public radio station, reported on Rhode Island's efforts to improve student performance on state math tests and featured the Dana Center's work. Listen to the full story here.

This July The Valley Breeze, a weekly newspaper serving northern Rhode Island and the Blackstone Valley, featured a long article about the Dana Centerís collaboration with the Cumberland, Lincoln, and Woonsocket school districts to increase student achievement in mathematics.

Most recently, the Providence Journal reported on the State of Rhode Islandís efforts to improve student achievement, particularly in science. The article notes that the Rhode Island Department of Education has hired the Dana Center to help 17 districts revamp their math and science curricula.
