Education Trust is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, that provides Ed Watch Interactive, a user-friendly source of data on educational performance and equity by race and class, kindergarten through college. Through this site, users can select, access, and compare state and national data.
The National Center for Educational Accountability is a collaborative effort of the Education Commission of the States, The University of Texas at Austin, and Just for the Kids to improve learning through the effective use of school and student data and the identification of best practices.
The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. This is the organization responsible for administering and analyzing National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also known as the Nation's Report Card.
The Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL) creates and provides research-based products and services to improve teaching and learning. SEDL if part of a national regional education laboratory network that works to ensure those involved in educational improvement at the local, state, and regional levels have access to the best available information from research and practice.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) provides reports on a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. These reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, finances, programs, and demographics.
