UDLN May 2013 Retreat

Held in Tampa, Florida, May 21-23, this retreat enabled our members to

  • reflect on their plans for aligning curriculum, assessment and professional learning systems to ensure coherent implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
  • learn about The Aspen Institute/Dana Center tools and processes used in pilot districts to inform and strengthen the implementation of the CCSS.
  • explore the opportunities and challenges of aligning classroom assessment practices to the CCSS and implications for a district-wide assessment strategy, as well as learn about the latest updates from the assessment consortia.
  • engage in district team action planning to ensure that strategic and systemic planning guides the professional development and implementation of the CCSS.
