Common Core State Standards
The Common Core State Standards require new, integrated approaches to curriculum implementation, educator preparation, and professional development. States and their school systems need effective tools for diagnosing and addressing the gap between current and desired local standards and practices, formative assessments that can drive improvement, and instructional materials aligned to the CCSS. And teachers face additional professional learning demands associated with implementing these new curriculum standards.
To help your district or school meet these challenges, the Dana Center is collaborating with states, school districts, and other key partners, including education technology publisher Agile Mind, to offer an integrated suite of resources and services to support educators in implementing the CCSS.
The CCSS were developed through a collaboration among members of the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers, and informed by feedback from hundreds of teachers, parents, school administrators, and other experts.
