Middle School Core Science Units:
Training of Trainers in Genetics, Chemical and Physical Properties,
and Space Science (Grades 6–8)
A half-day session, 9 a.m. to noon. Fee: $125

- Educators who provide content support for middle school science teachers, including instructional specialists and coaches and professional development providers

This half-day session is designed primarily for education service center, district, and campus instructional specialists and coaches who provide content support for middle school science educators.
In this session, you will:
- Learn how to effectively deliver professional development on the pedagogy and content of the Middle School Core Science Units to middle school teachers.
- Receive guidelines and tools to help implement an approach that vertical teams can use to examine the articulation of the 6–8 science TEKS.
- Receive (in addition to the Dana Center publications Middle School Core Science Units: TEKS-Based Activities in Genetics, Chemical and Physical Properties, and Space Science, which are provided during the required preceding three-day training):
- PowerPoint presentations for delivering the three Middle School Core Science Units modules, and
- A protocol for delivering the materials.
