  • Curriculum directors
  • Leadership teams

Grade-level focus:

  • 9-12

Across the state, educators are gearing up for the transition to the new STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) system. At the high school level, the implementation of end-of-course exams in mathematics, science, social studies, and English language arts gives instructional leaders an opportunity to refocus and enhance their existing infrastructure to better support teaching and learning.

In this session, you will explore how to support implementation of a guaranteed and viable curriculum through professional collaboration. You will also learn how to use research-based tools to monitor—and give feedback on—the instructional program. You will leave the session equipped with an action plan for meeting the increasingly rigorous demands of STAAR.
