This session is designed primarily for instructional specialists and teachers of geometry.
You will explore geometric concepts and use a set of research-based instructional strategies and tools designed to deepen student understanding and increase student achievement in geometry.
The session weaves algebraic connections, coordinate geometry, conjecture, and justification into the topics of geometric structure and transformations.
In this session, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience with research-based instructional strategies designed to increase student understanding and achievement in geometry.
- Use appropriate tools and STEM-focused instructional strategies, including technology.
- Collaborate with professional mathematics colleagues around learning and implementing additional instructional strategies in geometry.
