Instructional Strategies for Supporting English Language Learners
A one-day session, 9 am to 4 pm

- Instructional coaches and specialists
- Teachers in all content areas
This session is designed to give teachers in all content areas and grade levels a set of tools and strategies for developing lessons and refining existing instructional materials to make them accessible to English language learners.
The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and English Language Proficiency Standards inform the instructional strategies presented in this session.
Participants will receive a text by Margarita Calderón that includes an array of field-tested literacy strategies to support continued improvement in the achievement of English language learners.
