This session is designed primarily for teachers, instructional specialists and coaches, and others working in elementary science education.
You will explore a hands-on, directed-inquiry approach designed to help students develop an understanding of core science concepts around physical properties as they progress through elementary school.
In this session, you will:
- Learn an approach and set of strategies that vertical teams of teachers can use to examine the articulation of the grades K–5 science TEKS.
- Learn how to implement vertically aligned, TEKS-based curricular units on physical properties.
- Receive a copy of the Dana Center publication Elementary Core Science Units: TEKS-Based Activities in Physical Properties.
