Algebra I: Linear and Quadratic Relationships

A two-day session

Equipment note:

  • Participants should bring a graphing caculator.

Audience:

  • Teachers
  • Instructional specialists and coaches

In this session, you will explore the functional relationships of algebra and gain hands-on experience with research-based instructional strategies as you collect and manipulate data sets that generate linear and quadratic algebraic patterns.

The session’s activities are designed to explore the depth of Algebra I knowledge described in the state standards, so that you can help students deepen their understanding of linear and quadratic relationships and increase their ability to critically apply that understanding to solve problems.

This session will also help ensure that you, your campus, and your district are prepared for the implementation of end-of-course exams.
