Algebra I: Linear Relationships to Support Student Success

This session is designed primarily for instructional specialists, coaches, and teachers of Algebra I.
You will explore in depth the functional relationships of algebra and use a set of research-based instructional strategies and tools designed to deepen student understanding and increase student achievement in Algebra I.
In this session, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience with research-based instructional strategies by collecting and manipulating data sets that generate linear algebraic patterns.
- Learn instructional strategies for increasing student understanding of linear relationships in data.
- Use appropriate tools and STEM-focused instructional strategies, including technology.
- Collaborate with professional mathematics colleagues around learning and implementing additional instructional strategies in algebra.
