Entrepreneurship: Keeping Score with Mathematics

This module uses business and marketing models, case studies, and financial models to reinforce and clarify the mathematics that underlie everyday transactions in the world of entrepreneurship. This module consists of four units:

Fine Arts: Geometry

This module guides students in analyzing border and finite designs to discover the existence of the transformations within the designs and learn to classify designs by the combinations of transformations that exist. The modules also includes explorations of the connections between kaleidoscopes and finite designs.

Fine Arts: Music

This module explores the connections between mathematics and music. No musical background is required. Students learn about time values of notes and how they represent fractions of measure. They also explore sound waves with a graphing calculator and investigate frequency, amplitude, and pitch.
