Collaboration is at the heart of all AmeriCorps programs. ACEE is a collaboration of AmeriCorps, The University of Texas at Austin, and Austin Independent School District, as well as corporate and private foundations that focus on education and literacy. We also have generous benefactors who provide in-kind contributions. Our partners are listed below with links to their websites.
CNCS is the federal organization that oversees all national service programs, including AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve, Senior Corps and USA Freedom Corps.
OneStar Foundation is Texas's home for national service programs and volunteer and faith-based initiatives. OneStar Foundation oversees all AmeriCorps State programs in Texas.
Austin Independent School District provides financial support of the ACEE program at six sites. ACEE project schools include Allison, Graham, Sanchez, Walnut Creek, and Winn Elementary Schools, as well as the Lucy Read Pre-K Demonstration School.
Austin Energy provides financial support to ACEE through the "Adopt a Member" initiative.
BookPeople donates children's books for children tutored by ACEE.
ACEE has been a recipient of the Literate Communities Grant Award since 2002.
Hoopoe Books/Share Literacy initiative seeks local donations to provide high-quality books to the children ACEE serves. ACEE has successfully used Hoopoe Books in after-school book clubs and in the ACEE parent initiative Parent Advocates for Literacy.
JPMorgan Chase Bank Foundation provides financial support to ACEE through the "Adopt a Member" initiative.
KDK-Harman Foundation supports the ACEE expansion to the Lucy Read Pre-K Demonstration School.
KLE Foundation provides support to strengthen ACEE's bilingual tutor training and tutor resources.
Silverton Foundation supports the ACEE expansion to the Lucy Read Pre-K Demonstration School, as well as a parent involvement initiative at Lucy Read.
The Sooch Foundation provides funding for tutor training and support.
ACEE was a recipient of a 2004–05 Power of Literacy grant and a 2005–06 Giving Voices grant.
