Volume 3: Issue 1 (Fall 2001)
The ACEE program has grown to include 49 members and five Austin elementary schools.
ACEE members participated in the YMCA's 150th Anniversary Family Festival.
Blackshear Reading Club begins its third year with plenty of songs and smiles.
This year's Family Learning Event offers opportunities to learn about air taking up space, air pressure, and how air pressure changes when air moves.

Able to withstand great criticism, able to juggle five meetings in one day, able to bring innovative programs to schools. It's a computer! It's a magician! No, it's Super VISTA!
AmeriCorps members and community volunteers are key to the program's success.
"Working with children can be quite a challenge! They can be very demanding. But at least they are cute, and (usually) nice to you."
With AmeriCorps, students, and parents, you have all the ingredients for fun and learning.
Parent Advocates for Literacy is an innovative parent-school collaboration designed to draw on the strengths of the community in providing preschool children with a strong foundation in early literacy.
PALs was one of only a handful of pre-K programs selected nationwide to present at this year's conference.
Volume 1: Issue 1 (Fall 1999)
Although ACEE members often work directly in the classrooms assisting teachers, their primary objective is the individualized instruction of two to six students.
Family Fun Nights organized by ACEE encourage parents to take an active part in their children's education.
