Being a 2nd-Year Tutor

I absolutely love my job as an ACE tutor! So much so, that I am joining ACE as a 2nd-year tutor for the next school year (2012-2013). I have decided to return because ACE has been an incredible experience. Continuing as a tutor for another year will allow me to grow and extend my knowledge base in the areas of language and literacy, especially as I prepare to be a reading specialist.
The best part of being an ACE tutor is really everything. You become more than just a tutor to the kids; you are a support system. Every day is incredibly rewarding because you see their growth in reading and their self-esteem. Seeing kids gain confidence in their reading abilities is a truly beautiful thing, and it happens all the time in the day of an ACE tutor.
I hope that you will consider joining ACE as a tutor, or help spread the word to someone you think would like to spend a year tutoring children. ACE is an amazing program and it is changing lives; it has already changed mine.
