Another Great School Year for ACE!

ACE is excited to announce that we completed the 2010–2011 school year with a total of 113 AmeriCorps tutors serving approximately 1,500 children through one-on-one and small group tutoring at 14 sites. And 75% of the students who received intensive one-on-one tutoring reached grade level in reading! ACE tutors are now using the summer months to continue volunteering in summer school while the ACE staff are recruiting and training new AmeriCorps tutors to get ready for the upcoming school year. We are also proud to announce that ACE will reach an additional three low-income elementary schools during the next school year. We are so thankful for all the tutors who served in the 2010–2011 cohort and hope you continue your service in the future!
