ACE Hosts Wine & Cheese Event

On September 15, over 50 ACE supporters gathered at the historic Littlefield House on the University of Texas campus for an evening of fine wines and cheeses. Hosted by ACE founder Dr. Uri Treisman, the gathering served as an opportunity to thank ACE's financial supporters and to provide a brief update about the program.
Dr. Mary Ellen Isaacs, ACE program director, spoke about ACE’s impressive achievements in the 2009-2010 school year. Over 80% of the children ACE tutored reached or exceeded grade level by the end of the year! In addition, seven full-time tutors from last year are returning for the 2010-2011 school and will serve as leaders of the new cohort of tutors.
