On Sunday, March 30, 2008, the Austin American-Statesman profiled local efforts to improve students' scores on the math and science Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). The article, "Educators trying to bolster math, science scores: Efforts already showing some success," describes ACEE's work with students at Lucy Read and UTeach's efforts in local high schools.
The Statesman also provides a video of Elizabeth Conde, ACEE member and UTeach intern, teaching prekindergartners about momentum, gravity, and friction.
